Punnichy RCMP seeking information about fatal pedestrian collision

On July 22, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Punnichy RCMP was dispatched to a report of an injured adult male on the 640 Grid, just north of the Gordons First Nation. Officers and EMS attended, and the male was pronounced deceased on scene.

On July 22, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Punnichy RCMP was dispatched to a report of an injured adult male on the 640 Grid, just north of the Gordons First Nation.

 

Officers and EMS attended, and the male was pronounced deceased on scene. His family has been notified. We will not be identifying him at this time.

 

Preliminary investigation has determined the male was struck by a motor vehicle. The vehicle and driver were not at the scene when police arrived.

 

Anyone with information should call the Punnichy RCMP at 306-835-5200, or report it anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

 

Officers from Punnichy RCMP, Yorkton Forensic Identification Services and the Yorkton General Investigation Section as well as an RCMP collision reconstructionist are investigating.
