RCMP arrest man who attempted Edam ATM break-in

At approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, Turtleford RCMP responded to an alarm at a business on Main Street in the community of Edam. Upon arrival on scene, it was observed that a suspect had attempted to break into the ATM.

At approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, Turtleford RCMP responded to an alarm at a business on Main Street in the community of Edam. Upon arrival on scene, it was observed that a suspect had attempted to break into the ATM. No one was in the business at the time of the incident. The investigation has lead the Turtleford RCMP to arrest and charge an adult male in this matter.

Nathan Orchison, 39, of Edam, is charged with: mischief Over $5,000; Possession of a Break in Instrument; Disguised with Intent to Commit an Offence,.

Orchison was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on Tuesday, Nov. 5 in St. Walburg. After the first appearance, Orchison was released by the courts on several conditions. 

His next court date has been set for Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Turtleford RCMP continue to investigate this matter.
