The Saskatoon Police Service were called to the 100 block of Briarvale Road Sunday as a moose had wondered into a yard. Conservation Officers were notified, attended and tranquilized the moose.

Conservation Officers were planning to transport the moose outside of the city and release it once it was alert enough to care for itself.

Earlier in the day, the Saskatoon Police Service advised that there had been a moose sighting in the area of Broadway Ave. Bridge. They requested the public not approach or interact with the moose in any way.

Conservation Officers are trained and equipped to deal with this type of wildlife, stated the Sunday morning release.
