Saskatoon police treating missing person case as homicide

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is entering into a homicide investigation into the suspicious missing persons file of 30-year-old Megan Gallagher.

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is entering into a homicide investigation into the suspicious missing persons file of 30-year-old Megan Gallagher.

Throughout the investigation, the Major Crime Section has been assisting the Missing Persons Detail and has spoken to several people in regards to Megan’s disappearance. There remain others who police wish to speak with. Anyone who had contact with Megan, either in person or via phone, text or social media, between September 19th and 30th, 2020, is asked to contact Police.

On September 20, 2020, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Megan was observed on video at a convenience store in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive. She was wearing a black Cabella’s hoodie, black pants, and a light blue shirt underneath her hoodie. Megan also has several tattoos:

Half sleeve tattoo with a large owl from shoulder to elbow

Tattoo of a cross behind her ear

Rainbow coloured feather on her ankle

The names “Jake” and “Adam” beneath her arm

#13 on her hand

Anyone who may have information on Megan Gallagher’s whereabouts is asked to contact Saskatoon Police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers pays up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest. No names are asked and you won’t have to go to court.
