“We have a dedicated team working on this and several other missing persons files right now,” Sgt. Jason Teniuk of the Battlefords RCMP told the News-Optimist Tuesday. “Once we have some credible and confirmed information we will ensure it goes out.”

Monday, May 20, Carol Laverdiere of Edmonton posted on her Facebook page, “Dear family & friends, it is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved daughter, sister and mother, Tiki Brook-Lyn Shirley Laverdiere. I apologize for posting it this way but I wanted to make sure everyone knows before it gets out otherwise.”

Carol Laverdiere, Tiki’s mother, told the News-Optimist Tuesday morning she has no comment about the matter.
