Onion Lake RCMP say an extensive investigation has led to sexual assault and other changes against a 17-year-old male in connection with a violent sexual assault that occurred June 2.
The individual cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He is charged with aggravated sexual assault, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence, theft under $5,000, assault with a weapon and attempting to obstruct justice.
The 17-year-old is in custody and made his first court appearance on Monday. He is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Oct, 15.
