Stolen vehicle stopped by Battlefords RCMP, drugs and firearms found

On Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Battlefords RCMP located a stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle fled from police in to a rural area but ended up getting stuck in a ditch. The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot.

On Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Battlefords RCMP located a stolen vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

The vehicle fled from police in to a rural area but ended up getting stuck in a ditch. The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot.

All four suspects involved with this incident were located and taken into custody for a variety of criminal offences including outstanding warrants for arrest.

Search of the vehicle incident to arrest led to the discovery of two firearms and a quantity of drugs. The suspects arrested are all facing charges in relation to the stolen property, firearms and drugs. Further investigation confirmed that the two firearms recovered in the stolen vehicle were in fact the firearms stolen from a residence in on the 1800 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford on April 20.

The break and enter occurred between the times of 4 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Numerous firearms were stolen at that time

The four suspects have been remanded in custody and further details regarding charges and identity will be forthcoming once charges have been filed with the courts.
