A Canadian Pacific derailment Tuesday near Rockhaven did not result in any environmental damage, according to Cut Knife RCMP.

Police report that seven cars carrying liquid asphalt derailed at about 6 p.m., but the cars remained upright and no contents were spilled.

According to the RCMP, the train was travelling south at the time of the incident.

No injuries were reported and no roads were blocked. The Canadian Pacific Police Service is on scene and is continuing to investigate.
