Trial set for P.A. man facing drug trafficking, weapons charges

A trial has been set for a man charged with numerous drug trafficking and weapons offences. Cameron Morin, 26, pleaded not guilty and a trial is set for July 21 in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

A trial has been set for a man charged with numerous drug trafficking and weapons offences.

Cameron Morin, 26, pleaded not guilty and a trial is set for July 21 in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Morin was denied bail in February and remains in custody since his arrest by the Prince Albert Police Street Enforcement Team on Feb. 4.

According to police they obtained a search warrant for a home in the 600 block of 7 Street East. When they searched the home they found a loaded shotgun, ammunition, brass knuckles, a Taser, bear spray, more than 120 grams of meth, 45 grams of crack cocaine, about eight grams of Psilocybin, and $7,000 in cash.

Kyle Crain, 29, was also arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was released in February and is scheduled to enter a plea in Prince Albert Provincial Court on April 6.
