The second-degree murder case stemming from a May 31 incident near Cochin will return to court Aug. 31 following the latest adjournment.

Joshua Tucker, who faces the second-degree murder charge, appeared in court again Friday by closed-circuit TV before Judge Bruce Bauer.

At the previous court appearance, assessment reports into Tucker’s mental condition were ordered to determine whether Tucker is suffering a mental disorder and therefore exempt from criminal responsibility.

The indication from the Crown Friday is that the assessment reports by Saskatchewan Hospital into Tucker’s mental condition are now completed. Tucker also faces one new charge of breaching a court order.

Those will all be dealt with at the next court date on Aug. 31. Tucker remains remanded to that time. He is due to appear again by CCTV.
