Warman RCMP: Two killed in motor vehicle collision on Hwy 11 near Olser

CORRECTION: The release should have read, the southbound service truck and a northbound SUV collided head on in the southbound lane.

BACKGROUND: On Sept. 6, at approximately 4:42 p.m., Warman RCMP attended the scene of a two motor vehicle collision on highway 11 near the south entrance into Osler.

A northbound service truck and a southbound SUV collided head on in the southbound lane.

EMS arrived on scene and the passenger of the southbound vehicle, a 75-year-old female, was pronounced deceased on scene. The 80-year-old driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with undetermined injuries. The driver of the truck was treated by EMS on scene and released.

RCMP collision reconstructionists were on scene with the coroner. The collision is still under investigation.

The name of the deceased will not be released at this time.

Highway 11 reopened to traffic around 11 p.m. last night.
