Woman charged with aggravated assault against two people on Moosomin First Nation

A Moosomin First Nation woman has been in custody since she was arrested May 16 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

A Moosomin First Nation woman has been in custody since she was arrested May 16 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Nina Cantre-Kahpeaysewa made her first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on May 17 and her show cause hearing is set for May 26.

Cantre-Kahpeaysewa was charged with endangering the life of a person by committing an aggravated assault and wounding someone by committing an aggravated assault. She allegedly assaulted two people on Moosomin First Nation.

The charges against Cantre-Kahpeaysewa haven’t been proven in court.
