RCMP are reporting an attempted armed robbery in Macklin.
According to police, just after midnight on Jan. 25 a male suspect entered the Macklin Hotel/Bar with a long gun and demanded money. The male is described as 5 ft. 8 inches, slim build, black clothing and a mask covering his face. The bar employee was able to get away and lock herself in a back room. No money was obtained by the suspect and it is unknown whether he left on foot or in a vehicle.
