The new advertising and sponsorship policy in Battleford got tweaked on Monday.

Director of Parks and Recreation Jordan Schechtel told council that being added to the policy is a bullet under guidelines, indicating that the policy requires a request for proposals process be done for all naming rights agreements.

Other than that, nothing else is being changed from the policy, which was brought in by Battleford council last month. The policy covers naming rights for parks and facilities in the town, including the arena.

As for decisions on RFPs, Schectel confirmed all decisions on the naming rights valued over $10,000 would come back to council.

The addition was approved at council Monday night.
