Bridge and overpass construction areas reduce traffic lanes and speed

The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure advises local residents there are four bridges in Battleford/ North Battleford area currently under construction. • Hwy 40 bridge over Battle River - Traffic will be reduced to a single lane width of 4.

The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure advises local residents there are four bridges in Battleford/ North Battleford area currently under construction.

• Hwy 40 bridge over Battle River - Traffic will be reduced to a single lane width of 4.1 m and controlled by traffic lights. Speeds will be reduced within the work zone.

• Hwy 4 bridge over Battle River - Traffic will be reduced to a single lane width of 7.3 m and controlled by traffic lights. Speeds will be reduced within the work zone.

• Hwy 16 overpass over Hwy 4 on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River - Traffic will be reduced to a single lane width of 4.1 m. Speeds will be reduced within the work zone.

• Hwy 4 overpass over Hwy 16 on the north side of the North Saskatchewan River - Traffic will be reduced to a single lane width of 4.1 m. Speeds will be reduced within the work zone.

While construction is in progress, over-width loads may be accommodated by the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure. Companies or individuals wishing to transport loads or vehicles with widths greater than those noted above must contact the on-site supervisor Daniel Lemay in advance of the moving date to determine when transit is possible.
