Consultants to develop Joint Recreation Master Plan for city and town

A contract has been formally awarded for a Joint Recreation Master Plan between the City of North Battleford and Town of Battleford.

The winning proposal was RC Strategies + PERC (Professional Environmental Recreation Consultants), topping eight other bidders in the process. 

Both the City of North Battleford and Yown of Battleford approved awarding the bid at their council meetings Monday night. The proposal from RC Strategies + PERC was in the amount of $97,090.

An evaluation committee consisting Battleford’s leisure services director and town CAO, as well as North Battleford’s city manager and Leisure Services director, met on Aug. 13 to choose the proposal.

According to North Battleford city manager Randy Patrick it was a unanimous decision to award the bid to RC Strategies + PERC. It will be the Town of Battleford that will formally administer the contract.
