Living Sky School Division has confirmed a case of COVID-19 has been diagnosed in an individual in McKitrick Community School in North Battleford.
In a news release, the division states they are “working closely with Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.”
Public Health has been contacting anyone who may have been in close contact with the case to provide direction.”
Following the division’s health and safety protocols, the school is receiving a deep cleaning/sanitizing.
No further details are being shared, to protect the privacy of the individual. Schools throughout the division have been closed on Monday due to the recent snowstorm.
This is the fifth case of COVID-19 in the school division this fall. Other cases have been identified over the past month in Cando, at Bready Elementary School in North Battleford, North Battleford Comprehensive High school and at Spiritwood High School.
