There was a special presentation to North Battleford Deputy Fire Chief for Operations and Training Lindsay Holm at council on Monday at City Hall. Holm was recognized with a Fire Service Exemplary Service Medal. Holm has been with North Battleford Fire Department since 2000, where he has risen through the ranks to become part of the leadership team. Previously, he had been an emergency services technician in Lloydminster and later provided care to workers at the Allan potash mine. The medal recognizes members of a recognized Canadian fire service who have completed 20 years of service, 10 of which have been in performance of duties involving potential risks. Mayor Ryan Bater presented Holm with the Exemplary Service Medal, as well as a certificate of exemplary service signed by the Governor-General of Canada. Photo by John Cairns
