There is good news to report for pizza lovers on North Battleford’s east side.

City council in North Battleford approved a discretionary use application for a proposed new pizza parlour on Monday night. The application was to establish a “restaurant without an associated lounge” at 1708 Thompson Cres.

The restaurant is going into a building that was previously a convenience store. It is described as being in the general vicinity of the North Battleford Comprehensive High School and the Foodland market, a designated C2 - Neighbourhood Commercial zone.

In making their recommendation to approve the discretionary use application, city administration stated they did not foresee any land use conflicts or negative impacts to adjoining properties. No objections had been received at City Hall to the application.
