The brunt of the back-to-back storms over the Battlefords on the evenings of July 23 and 24 seems to have been felt in Battleford. Kramer Campground saw 14 trees toppled. One camper said they are all fine but it was a little dicey when they saw their covered area, that was tied down, lift into the air. Eventually a tree fell down on it, missing their camper. The Thursday night storm was a lot worse than the one Friday night, they said. There were apparently no injuries to the campers at the campground. A property on 18th Street saw two huge trees ripped up by their roots, landing on the house and electrical lines as well as onto the back fence and alley. The property is vacant so there were no injuries there.
