Of the 1,384 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan (down by 30 from yesterday), 102 are in the North West (down from 109 yesterday), according to the government’s Saskatchewan Dashboard.

Of the province’s 111 new cases, 11 were reported in the North West.

A total of 2,946 people in the North West have recovered from COVID-19, an increase of 18 over yesterday.

There are 139 people in hospital in Saskatchewan, including 10 in the North West, one of whom is in intensive care.

In the North West 2 subzone, there are 49 active cases, up from 45 yesterday, with seven new cases. The weekly monitoring information Feb. 22-28 listed eight active cases among youth and children, down from five the previous monitoring period. North West 2 includes the communities of Denzil, Lashburn, Lloydminster, Macklin, Maidstone, Marsden, Marshall, Neilburg, Paynton, Primate, Senlac and Waseca, with a total population of 31,411.

In the North West 1 subzone, there are 15 active cases, down from 22 yesterday, with two new cases. The North West, with a population just over 84,000, has now had a total of 10,337 vaccinations, including 8,485 first doses and 1,852 second doses.

March 9 North West COVID-19 update: One death in the 50-59 age group

One Saskatchewan resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has died. This death was reported in the 50-59 age group from the North West zone.

Of the 1,414 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan (down 49 from yesterday), 109 are in the North West (down from 113 yesterday), according to the government’s Saskatchewan Dashboard.

Of the province’s 113 new cases, nine were reported in the North West.

A total of 2,928 people in the North West have recovered from COVID-19, an increase of 12 over yesterday.

There are 139 people in hospital in Saskatchewan, including 12 in the North West, none of whom are in intensive care.

Of the 1,463 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan (down 55 from 1,518 yesterday), 113 are in the North West (down from 120 yesterday), according to the government’s Saskatchewan Dashboard.

Of the province’s 97 new cases, four were reported in the North West.

A total of 2,916 people in the North West have recovered from COVID-19, an increase of 11 over yesterday.

There are 140 people in hospital in Saskatchewan, including 11 in the North West, none of whom are in intensive care.

Two Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One death was reported in the 19 and under age group from the North West zone. The other death was reported in the 40-49 age group from the Far North West zone.

Of the 1,518 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan (down by 95 from yesterday), 120 are in the North West (down from 131 yesterday), according to the government’s Saskatchewan Dashboard.

Of the province’s 116 new cases, six were reported in the North West.

A total of 2,905 people in the North West have recovered from COVID-19, an increase of 16 over yesterday.

There are 136 people in hospital in Saskatchewan, including 11 in the North West, none of whom are in intensive care.

Of the province’s 141 new cases, 17 were reported in the North West.

A total of 2,809 people in the North West have recovered from COVID-19, an increase of 16 over yesterday.

A total of 2,793 people in the North West have recovered from COVID-19, an increase of 15 over yesterday.

One Saskatchewan resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has died.  The death was reported in the 80+ age group from the North West zone.

Of the province’s 211 new cases, 16 were reported in the North West.

Three Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One death was reported in the 50-59 age group from the North West zone.



Of the 1,611 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan (down from 1,864 Sunday), 188 are in the North West (down from 209 Sunday), according to the government’s Saskatchewan Dashboard.

Of the province’s 143 and 136 new cases reported Feb. 15 and 16 respectively, 44 were reported in the North West for the two days.

Four Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died.  One of those deaths was reported in the 80+ age group from the North West zone.

Feb. 2 North West COVID-19 update: Two more deaths brings total to 30

Eight Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. Two of those were reported in the North West. One reported death was in the 40-49 age group and another was 60-69 age group. Corrected list deaths at two to remove indication that death was in a specific subzone.

Of the 2,320 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan as of Tuesday, 309 are in the North West, according to the government’s Saskatchewan Dashboard.

Of the province’s 223 new cases, 18 were reported in the North West.

Hospitalization information is unavailable for today.

A total of 2,167 people in the North West have recovered from COVID-19.

Feb. 1 North West COVID-19 update: Two deaths in North West 2 subzone

Two Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died.  Both deaths reported Monday were in the 80+ age group in the North West (2) zone.

Of the 2,369 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan as of Monday, 335 are in the North West, according to the government’s Saskatchewan Dashboard.

Of the province’s 147 new cases, 24 were reported in the North West.

Two hundred and two people are in hospital across the province, with 19 hospitalized in the North West. Two are in intensive care.

A total of 2,125 people in the North West have recovered from COVID-19.

During the weekend, 975 doses of the Pfizer vaccine were sent to North Battleford.  Clinics were to begin Monday for priority health care workers and 132 vaccinations were administered.  On Tuesday, the vaccine was to be provided to long-term care residents and staff in North Battleford, Wilkie and Lloydminster. 348 doses were administered.

Dec. 28-29 – Active cases down, but zone death total reaches 19

One person diagnosed with COVID-19 is reported in today’s provincial report to have died in the North West zone. It is one of six deaths in the province in the age range of 80+. There were also deaths in the 20-29 age group (1), two deaths in the 60-69 age group and one death in the 70-79 age group in other parts of the province. Today’s announced death brings the North West’s total to 19.

Of the 3,191 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan as of Tuesday (down from 3,945 a week ago), 414 are in the North West, down from 459 a week ago, according to the government’s Saskatchewan Dashboard. Of the province’s 208 new cases, 15 were reported in the North West.

There is no report on how many people are hospitalized. According to the Dec. 24 and 27 COVID-19 updates from the province, the number of hospitalizations of COVID-19 patients have been under-reported. Some who have remained in hospital after testing negative have been counted as recovered. Nov. 28 – One additional death in the North West brings total to eight

One resident in the 80+ age group who tested positive for COVID-19 has died.  The person was from the North West zone, bringing the zone’s total deaths to eight.

Officials indicate today’s numbers are partly influenced by a high number of tests being done and a backlog in testing due to weather. They have decided to include a seven-day average in the daily update. Saskatchewan’s seven-day average is 203 as of today.
