It’s a Snow day for schools in Living Sky School Division tomorrow.

The division has announced all buildings in the division will be closed Thursday, Jan. 14, due to the winter storm. Classes will continue, however, online.

The following email is being sent out to families in the division:

Dear Living Sky School Division Families:

All Living Sky School Division buildings will be closed on Thursday, January 14th. However, classes will still continue on-line.

Many factors were considered before making this decision. The severe weather conditions will result in bus cancellations and will make it difficult for staff who live out of town to get to school. Usually, even in such a circumstance, schools remain open. However, the pandemic is a complicating factor. Because we must keep students/staff in cohorts, we will not have the ability to group students from multiple grades together with a staff member when their teachers are not able to be at school. By making the decision now, we hope that families have time to make childcare arrangements as required and schools will have some time to send devices home when possible.

Thank you for your understanding and stay safe everyone.
