Kenny Moccasin has easily won re-election as Chief of Saulteaux First Nation.
Moccasin won Saturday’s band election over his only challenge, Robert Camplin, by 356 votes to 52, according to the report of the electoral officer.
The race was much tighter for the five band council, with 11 nominated candidates. The top five vote getters were Adam Houle with 267, Dolphus Moccasin with 240, Jordan Gopher with 209, Rebecca Gopher with 199 and Gabriel Moccasin with 196.
