Living Sky School Division is reporting two more cases of COVID-19 in their school division as of the end of last week.

In a news release Nov. 23 the school division confirmed that a case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in an individual in Connaught Elementary School, and in an individual in North Battleford Comprehensive High School. This would be the third case reported at the high school.

The division states in the news release they “are working closely with Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.” Individuals who were in close contact have been notified and are self-isolating, and the schools have received a deep cleaning/sanitizing according to their health and safety protocols. They remain open at this time.

It is also noted that North Battleford Comprehensive High School has been moved to Level 3 of the Safe Schools Plan, which means the high school moves to partial in-class and partial at-home learning to reduce the number of students in school at one time. This is based on the recommendation by the province for all schools with a student population over 600 to address the pandemic. John Paul II Collegiate in the Light of Christ division has also gone to Level 3.

To protect the privacy of individuals, no further details are being shared by the school division.
