The Saskatchewan Health Authority is alerting the public of more opportunities for obtaining the COVID-19 Vaccine this week.
Once again the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Finning Cat building at 391 Yellowhead Highway 16 west of Battlefords will be hosting drive-thru vaccinations.
They will be open Monday July 19 and Tuesday, July 20, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., and will be offering the Pfizer vaccine.
It will also be open between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 23, 24 and 25. Pfizer and Moderna will ben offered on those days.
The SHA is urging people to protect themselves against variants of cocern including the Delta variant which is 60 percent more transmissible. According to the SHA, studies show that after two doses of vaccine there is an 85-98% reduction in hospitalizations from the Delta variant.
