North Battleford dity council has voted to accept an offer from a local developer to build four single family homes in Fairview Heights.
The offer came from Prime Rose Homes, whose proposal is to build on four lots at once. They plan to build four single family houses at 2403 and 2415 Buhler Avenue, and 2305 and 2309 Sadlowski Drive.
This is described as a speculative build, where the company would pay a $3,000 deposit on each lot and then pay the balance within 12 months. This would allow for the company to build and sell the houses before paying for the lots. The city would hold onto the title until the lot is paid.
Council voted in favor at Monday’s meeting; they did add an amendment that acceptance is subject to review through the city’s legal counsel.
