Two local high schools are moving to Level 3 of the Safe Schools plan on Nov. 23.
The news came this week from Light of Christ and Living Sky schools divisions, who confirmed North Battleford Comprehensive High School and John Paul II Collegiate in North Battleford will both be moving to Level 3 in order to stop the spread of COVID-19.
According to their news release, under Level 3, there is reduced in-class learning, a shift to partial remote learning while at home, and a reduction in the number of students in the school at the same time. Level 3 has been recommended to high schools with student populations over 600.
Both schools will be releasing details of the new schedules to families this week. The school divisions are asking for their school communities’ patience and cooperation.
