Larry Doke may be wrapping up as Cut Knife-Turtleford MLA but he is not done with politics just yet.
Doke is taking over as the new mayor of the Resort Village of Metinota, as confirmed by the resort village on their website. He was acclaimed, as were all other positions on the Metinota council, which meant there was no need for an election this year.
Doke has been MLA for Cut Knife-Turtleford for the past nine years and is not seeking re-election to that office in the October provincial election.. He is also no stranger to municipal politics, with previous experience as a Metinota councillor and as a North Battleford city councillor. Also serving on Metinota council are Dean Menssa and Marcel Bernier.
