The Battlefords North Stars have announced a number of signings of players committing to the team for the upcoming 2020-21 season.
Kevin Thomas Walters has committed to the team for next season, after spending the last two years with the North Okanagan Knights of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. He has played left wing/ center and is from Vernon, BC. Last year Walters had 18 goals and 16 assists in 46 games, with 26 penalty minutes.
Owen Lugowski has also signed with the team. Lugowski spent last year with the Airdrie CFR Bisons in midget AAA in Alberta.
Later on Wednesday the North Stars announced a third signing. Jaden Kim, from Calgary, has been signed after playing for IHA Midget Prep last year. He is a defenceman.
There was also a trade announced Wednesday. Caelan Fitzpatrick ('03) was traded to the Estevan Bruins in exchange for the Bruins' 4th round pick in the 2020 Bantam draft, happening on Friday.
On Thursday the North Stars announced more signings including Silas Buijs of Red Deer Optimist Chiefs midget AAA hockey, has committed to the team. Buijs had 11 goals and 10 assists last season in 32 games.
The North Stars announced they had signed Wilson Steele, who had two goals and ten assists playing last season for the Calgary Buffaloes in midget AAA hockey.
The North Stars also announced they had signed Ryder Kenyon, formerly of the Lloydminster Bobcats Midget AAA team. Last year he scored 11 goals with 19 assists, as well as four playoff assists.

It was announced Jake Southgate had been signed by the North Stars. Last year, Southgate played for the Battlefords Stars in midget AAA.
As well, Zane Florence of North Battleford has also been signed. Florence played last year with the Prince Albert Mintos in midget AAA hockey.
In another signing Monday the North Stars signed Tristan Ouellette of Mont-Laurier Quebec. His last team was the Ste. Hyacinthe Gaulois where he had five goals and seven assists last season.
The North Stars also signed another player from the KIJHL: Trevor Kennedy of Kamloops, who had 26 points in 38 games with the Chase Heat.
