North West zone reports a COVID-19 death

Two news deaths were reported Wednesday in the provincial government’s daily COVID-19 report. One death was reported in the 80+ age group from the North West Zone and one death was reported in the 70 to 79 age group from the Central East zone.

Two news deaths were reported Wednesday in the provincial government’s daily COVID-19 report. One death was reported in the 80+ age group from the North West Zone and one death was reported in the 70 to 79 age group from the Central East zone.

The North West zone's death toll now stands at 73, however there were only four new cases reported.

There are 92 people in hospital across the province. Ten of those are in the North West, one of whom is in intensive care. 

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers in Saskatchewan is 72 (5.9 per 100,000).  This is the lowest seven-day average since November 1, 2020.  A chart comparing today's average to data collected over the past several months is available at https://dashboard.saskatchewan.ca/health-wellness/covid-19/seven-day-average-of-new-covid-cases.
