NWT renames alcohol division

North West Terminal Inc. has announce a name change to its alcohol division. It is now North West Pure Alcohol & Spritis (nwPURE) from North West Bio-Energy Ltd.

North West Terminal Inc. has announce a name change to its alcohol division.

It is now North West Pure Alcohol & Spritis (nwPURE) from North West Bio-Energy Ltd. 

Acccording to a news release from the Unity-based farmer-shareholder owned company on Monday, this "better reflects the products that the Company produces in its 25 million litre per year facility." The release states the products include a range of natural food and pharmaceutical grades of alcohol from Western Canadian grains.

“The Board of Directors is very pleased with the new name and the design of the new logo as it better reflects what we do,” says NWT’s President Brad Sperle. “These are challenging times given the situation facing the country and world with the COVID-19 pandemic. So, we are pleased to also announce that we have shifted capacity at the facility toward making alcohol for hand sanitizers and other sanitation products.”
