It was a rock ‘em sock ‘em 35th Demolition Derby at North West Territorial Days in North Battleford on Friday.
The highlight was the Western Canada Finals, featuring the top demolition derby drivers and cars on the track.
A couple of brief rain showers didn’t slow down the action through several elimination heats. The only obstacle for the drivers came from other vehicles in competition, all looking to knock their opponents out and do some damage.
The final championship round saw Steve Oborowsky, last year’s runner up, emerge as the winner over six other drivers. Second went to Jade Smith, third to Greg Korpach, and fourth to Darcy King.
