UPDATE: The Highway Hotline says: 42 km north of Cando to 2 km south of Battleford - one lane traffic, no passing, reduced speed, police on site.
No word yet from the RCMP.
BACKGROUND 10 P.M. Thursday - The North Battleford RCMP are currently dealing with a incident on Hwy 4 south of Battlefords. Hwy 4 is closed between Battleford and 10 kms south of Battleford.
All access to the area is restricted until the police have the situation under control. The roads will be closed and the public is directed to not enter the area.
Once the area is safe, police will notify the public the roads are open.
The RCMP have asked the media not to make inquiries at this time.
