Red Pheasant flattening the curve

Lockdown remains in effect
COVID-19
The latest on COVID-19.

There is still a lockdown on Red Pheasant Cree Nation, but the tough measures have been making an impact in bringing down COVID-19 cases on the reserve.

The Red Pheasant Cree Nation Health Centre was reporting on Tuesday there were zero cases on the reserve, though there are pending test results. Red Pheasant has posted zero new or active cases for several days going back to Jan. 8.

Red Pheasant has thanked members of its community for keeping their community safe and doing their part to social distance, wash their hands, wear masks and limit travel in and out of the community.

According to a posting from the Health Centre, Red Pheasant must be free of COVID-19 for 28 days before the state of lockdown will be lifted. All previous guidelines still apply: no visitors allowed, no access to off reserve members of Red Pheasant, visiting "house to house" is prohibited, precautionary checkpoints are implemented, and a curfew of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. still applies.
