SaskPower does not plan to lock out employees Tuesday, and employees who return will be put to work, SaskPower said in an advisory Monday evening.

“The main change that customers should notice for tomorrow is that our call centre will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Today and this past Friday the call centre operated from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.,” stated the advisory.

The advisory was issued in light of Unifor announcing its members would return to work, while SaskTel announced it would not be allowing their return.

SaskTel said Monday it won’t allow striking employees to temporarily return to work and is considering court action against what it calls illegal labour disruption.

The Crown employees were planning to leave picket lines and return to their jobs Tuesday to give both sides in stalled contract talks a chance to get back to the bargaining table.
