Guy’s Furniture will be the venue on Sunday, June 13 for spin classes in support of raising money for mental health.

The spin classes are being hosted by Hustle House Spin, which opened last July. One of their owners, Beverly Pesony, says the spin classes will happen at 10 and 11 a.m. at the Guy’s Furniture parking lot.

Proceeds go to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Battlefords Branch.

Hustle House Spin has been involved in various fundraisers. For this one, Pesony notes some synergies between mental health and spin classes, where participants are inspired through music and their instructors.

“We just know that movement is medicine, when you move your bodies you feel better,” said Pesony.

One of their ride instructors is Meagen Houle, whose dad is the proprietor of Guy’s Furniture. Their manager, Josh Klassen, learned about the fundraiser and issued a challenge saying that if $2,000 was raised, he would participate in the 11 a.m. spin class wearing a beautiful spandex outfit.

In response, Pesony said, they raised over $2,000 that day and the running total so far is over $6,500, which means you can expect to see Klassen on the bike at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Anyone interested in making a donation is encouraged to contact Hustle House Spin or Guy’s Furniture directly.
