Saskatchewan Lotteries has announced a couple of recent big winners in recent draws.

One was Richard St. Amand, who won $100,000 on the EXTRA on the Lotto 6/49.

He is a regular buyer of the $24 Super Pack, and purchased his ticket at the Shoppers Drug Mart located on Assiniboine Drive in Saskatoon. When he returned four days later to scan the ticket, he was in for a big surprise.

“I had to scan my ticket a couple of times so I could count all of the zeros,” he said in a statement. “When I counted out five zeros, I couldn’t believe it!”

“It was just a feeling that I can’t describe,” he said. His main plan for his new windfall: retirement.

There was an even bigger winner in Outlook as Kent Clark discovered he had won $250,000 on the EXTRA he added to his April 14 ticket.

“I had a couple tickets to check, so I scanned them on the Lotto Spot! app,” said Clark in a news release. “At first, I thought I had won $250, and I thought that was pretty good. When I figured out it was actually a $250,000 win, I was in complete disbelief!”

“I yelled for my wife and she thought something was wrong,” he said. “I showed her the screen and we were both very excited!”

Clark said he is not going to rush plans for his windfall. “For now, we’ll probably just pay some bills, and hopefully one day we’ll build a house on the farm.”
