Update - Suspect who was at large in Leask/Blaine Lake area in custody

UPDATE: On Friday, July 3, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a vehicle and suspect were taken into custody following a police pursuit.

BACKGROUND: On Thursday afternoon July 2 at approximately 5:40 p.m., Blaine Lake RCMP attempted to stop a greenish grey Pontiac Grand Prix with a single occupant in Leask, Saskatchewan. The suspect vehicle is very dirty and has the small passenger side window broken. Police initiated a pursuit as the suspect is known to police and is wanted on several outstanding charges which include violence and property offences. The police pursuit was terminated quickly due to public safety concerns.

 

Suspect believed to be almost out of gas and may still be in the Blaine Lake and Leask area.
