Marita Lang has had some sleeping problems lately, but for a good reason – the Regina resident won $1 million on the Feb. 13 Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize draw, and her excitement has been keeping her up at night.
“I checked the numbers online,” she said. “My numbers didn’t match the main draw or Extra, but when I saw the Guaranteed Prize number, I had to do a double take!”
“I couldn’t sleep that night,” she recalled. “I kept checking the numbers over and over again. I couldn’t believe it – it was overwhelming.”
The winner said she has one major plan for her winnings – travel!
“Whenever it’s safe to travel, we want to do a lot of it,” she said. “We’re thinking Germany or Austria, maybe back to Hawaii and all across Canada – we can go anywhere now!”
Lang purchased her winning Lotto 6/49 ticket at Sherwood Co-op Food @ Rochdale, located at 5875 Rochdale Blvd. in Regina. Her winning numbers were 39669677-01.
