A call for artists is still out for an exhibition in 2018-19 based on the North Saskatchewan River oil spill.

As Long as the River Flows: An Art Response to the Oil Catastrophe, is inviting submissions of recent artistic work including mixed media, film, literary and emerging arts for consideration in the exhibition. The submission deadline is Oct. 15.

According to Leah Garven, manager of galleries, there is still time to express interest.

“Submission response has been slow for this exhibition, but we have received some amazing work, so I don't want to give up on the concept yet,” said Garven in a statement. “It may mean that the exhibition will be postponed to 2019 in North Battleford and a later date at the Mann Art Gallery. If you intend to submit work, but need more time, please send me an email at lgarven@cityofnb.ca with a brief description of your work or intention.”

The work for the exhibition is being selected by the Chapel Gallery and the Mann Art Gallery.
