Crime reduction team deploys to Onion Lake

The RCMP Crime Reduction teams continue deployments in Saskatchewan. The North Battleford Crime Reduction Team’s latest deployment from Feb 6 to 10, in conjunction with the Onion Lake RCMP detachment resulted in multiple arrests.

The RCMP Crime Reduction teams continue deployments in Saskatchewan.

The North Battleford Crime Reduction Team’s latest deployment from Feb 6 to 10, in conjunction with the Onion Lake RCMP detachment resulted in multiple arrests.

Prior to each deployment the team gathers information and develops a list of priority targets with input from the local detachment. The results of this deployment saw the execution of 19 arrest warrants, including the apprehension of a parole violator, and seven persons being remanded into custody. Twenty-four new criminal code, five CDSA and four provincial statute charges were laid.

The Crime Reduction Team is made up of members with specialized enforcement and investigative skills. This targeted, high-intensity approach to enforcement and investigation focuses on taking drugs, firearms and criminals off the streets of Saskatchewan communities.
