Cut Knife is home to Miss World Saskatchewan,Jacy Lloyd, who is busy preparing for the Miss World Canada Competition.
19-year-old Jacy Lloyd from Cut Knife is the only delegate from the province participating in the Miss World Canada pageant in Toronto from July 21 to 27.
Lloyd holds the provincial title for a full year.
Her cause of choice for the “Beauty With a Purpose” grant competition within the pageant is mental health awareness. It is a cause close to her heart, as she suffers from anxiety herself and has from an early age.
Lloyd is currently fundraising for the official charity of the Miss World Canada event, which is the Children’s Wish Foundation, as well as making public appearances.
Lloyd says, “I am honoured to represent the province that has been my home for my entire life, while helping raise awareness of mental health issues and how to get help for them.”
