Maidstone RCMP participate in Slow to 60 campaign

On March 11, members of the Maidstone RCMP Detachment participated in a Slow to 60 campaign on Highway 16 organized by local towing companies.

On March 11, members of the Maidstone RCMP Detachment participated in a Slow to 60 campaign on Highway 16 organized by local towing companies. Personnel from Action Towing, Central Towing, Merit Towing, Midway Towing, Britannia RM Fire and Rescue Departments, Blackfalds Fire Rescue, and Vermillion County Fire were in attendance. The campaign took place on Highway 16 outside Lloydminster. There were lights and signs to remind the public to slow to 60km/h when passing emergency vehicles with the goal to bring awareness of the dangers that emergency crews face on a daily basis. RCMP would like to remind the public that speeding fines double when passing an emergency vehicles with their lights activated. Photos submitted
