Regina police have charged a teen with extortion and uttering threats over allegations that he threatened a girl who refused to send him nude photos.
Police say a high school student reported receiving alarming social media messages on Monday.
Investigators say the requests for nude photos were from an anonymous messenger.
When she refused to send the photos, the person messaging her threatened to bring a bomb and a gun to her school.
The 17-year-old boy who has been charged cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He is to appear in youth court on April 23. (CTV Regina)
