Snowmobile rally attendees still sought as possible COVID-19 victims

Efforts by provincial authorities continue to identify those who attended a Christopher Lake snowmobile rally dinner held Saturday, March 14, states a release from the province.

According to the latest estimates, approximately 130 people were at the dinner and 76 have been reached to date. As of Sunday, 20 cases have been linked to this event. Anyone who attended is urged to contact HealthLine 811.

Saskatchewan Health Authority has issued an adviso​​ry last week to all those who attended the Lakeland Snowmobile Club Wilderness Rally Supper in Christopher Lake on Saturday March 14, 2020 between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. that day.

SHA says there is confirmation that two people who attended this event tested positive for COVID-19, including one person who served at the event. Over 110  people attended the rally supper.

SHA is advising anyone who attended the supper needs to self isolate immediately. Those living in Prince Albert or surrounding area should contact the - Prince Albert Communicable disease team at 306-765-6504; if living outside the Prince Albert area, please contact 811.
