Disappointed city wants to get into towing business

Letter
envelope letter 2

Dear Editor

I am disappointed with the recent suggestion floated at city hall re: the city getting into the towing and impound business … representing a philosophy that government should rule all rather than legislate and keep the playing field reasonable so the average citizen can rise to his or her fullest potential. The city should under no circumstances get involved in the towing and compound business because we have free enterprise doing the service very efficiently.

Most taxpayers are aware that the city has spent into the forever future on things “nice to have.” There comes a time when the councilors have to not only live up to the fact but let the average people know, “We can’t afford it.”
