I just read the article regarding the pedestrian getting hit by a vehicle and am quite surprised it doesn't happen more often.
This city is not pedestrian friendly close to the shopping malls. If you are taking public transportation, you have quite a walk between Walmart and No Frills and at your own risk. They added a light if you are going to the hotel, but you get to walk all around the field on a road to get to Canadian Tire.
I can’t help but wonder why a crosswalk hasn’t been installed where the road used to cross from Walmart. That would make more sense to me.
