It was a big weekend for fundraising events in the Battlefords. Saturday night was the “Hootenanny for Hooters” event hosted by the Battlefords Union Hospital Medical Imaging Department at Alex Dillabough Centre. Proceeds go to the BUH Foundation capital campaign for new mammography equipment. The event was 1960d-themed, featuring music from that decade. The audience heard from Meota entertainers who wowed the crowd performing as the Mamas and the Papas, Elvis and Patsy Cline among others. Photos by John Cairns
