Trains collide one mile south of Pathlow

PATHLOW — Two trains on a Canadian National track a mile south of Pathlow collided into each other.

The Melfort Fire Department responded to the collision at 1:11 p.m. on Oct. 12. The St. Brieux Fire Department, Melfort Ambulance, Melfort RCMP and CN Police also responded.

Three members of the train crew were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

No dangerous goods were being transported and all engines and rail cars remained on the tracks.

The Melfort Fire Department remained on scene to wait for the arrival of CN crews to start clearing the line.
