REGINA — A veteran Regina police officer has been dismissed from the force after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a youth in detention.
Colin Bradley Magee, who is 47, was granted a conditional discharge in court last year for assaulting the 13-year-old in September 2018.
The corporal was found not guilty in a separate trial of assaulting a 42-year-old man also in the police detention area.
Another assault charge alleging an on-duty assault was withdrawn against Magee in 2017 after that case went through mediation.
A news release says Chief Evan Bray decided Magee is not suitable to work as a police officer.
He was with the force for almost 18 years.
